It's AI but not a bad story

I liked the different setting and non traditional spin on were people. The AI is flat ofcourse but not the worst I have heard. The main FMC wasn't annoying and the MMCs were likeable.

The voice is so much better more realistic

to short please tell me when the next book is available. the group of guys are great

Frustration

I could not finish this story. It annoyed me. Review might contain spoilers.


Let's start with the academy. It's college for latent shifters-shifters who do not know they are shifters . So when Rae starts to manifest her powers faster than anyone else and displays them during p.e. she's scared and confused. She's also suspended by the headmaster for doing so with threats of expulsion. This right here caused me to stop with an hour left. She was attacked by the required mean girl and she manifested to defend herself. How was she supposed to control her powers if she didn't know anything about them and no training? She's going to be watched by EVERYONE to make sure she doesn't hurt anyone.

The bonds. In this story 4 are made...2 students and 2 "staff". The students try to help but apparently shifters are a big secret, didn't help.

Looked at book 2 and looks like more frustration.

The A.I. narrator was better than most.

An AI voice that didn't grate my nerves.

The story is lovely.
There's a bit of mystery and tension with an interesting spin on supernatural dynamics.
All in all I really loved it and can't wait for the next book.
The AI is really decent, not entirely flat.
