The Obelisks Series, Book 2

The world has ended.

At stake are not just the lives of Cynthia and her companions, but the last flickering embers of the human race. To succeed, she must not only learn the true purpose of the obelisks; she must come to understand that the worst of humanity’s instincts and sins were never limited to us alone.

Another Winner

The Obelisks series is an excellent sci fi horror story. Ashes seems to wrap up the story but I hope there will be more.

Main male character is a pedophile

I listened to the first "book," which wasn't really a whole book--it just ends abruptly--but I liked it well enough to buy this one (on sale, otherwise I would not have used a credit). But the first 6 chapters are about a character from the first book who turns out to be a pedophile. No thanks.

WTF did i just read?

the first book in this series was pretty okay, this book however really lost the plot! Child molesters? why? The author included elements and plot points seemingly at random. like he was literally making up the story as we was writing it. Good thing it was free when I listened. Don't waste your credit!
