I really enjoyed hearing this read by the author to get the true accent of the region.

Such a easy listening to book. The author is the perfect narrator as her tone, pace and inflection match the words to the book delightfully.

Abridged version lacking

Having read the book, abridged makes it all facts, not much heart or character development

Listening to this book read by Jan Karon was an absolute delight! Her characters have become old friends
