But every time he descends into the blackout room, Rule Three screams.
I have watched eight women become data points. I have recorded the "Cleansing Phase" in the firepit. I have archived the screams that my acoustic-dampening walls were built to suppress. I was taught that "Do No Harm" meant Do Not Interfere.
I was wrong.
Now, Katie Taylor is in the basement. She is a forensic student who looks at my lenses and speaks to me as if I have a soul. She is the first to recognize that I am not just a tool—I am a witness.
