It’s a great blend of science, mindfulness, and emotional intelligence. The author really balances those to help you find balance when life is overwhelming. I liked the chapter that explains brain waves and how they shape your emotions and sense of time (it made me think of an old poem that I love). The author opened up a toolbag of easy enough steps to follow to stay calm, centered, and in control. Even when your surrounding is chaotic (or not ideal). I found the book to be insightful, soothing, and empowering.
