A Peace Series Novella

Being a stylist for the rich and famous is a dream come true for Victoria Robles. A lively gal from Texas, she finds herself touring across the States with the best names in Country music. But after a shameful truth sends Vicki into hiding, she lands in Peace, Montana, the quaint little town she remembers from a previous touring trip through the state. She hopes the people are still friendly enough to welcome her among them.

That is, until she collides with Calbert Miller, a smoking hot cowboy who immediately assumes she's nothing but trouble. At every corner, Cal and Vicki exchange heated, unpleasant words. To make matters worse, the secret she's been hiding is unexpectedly exposed to the whole town, risking her chance at setting down roots in Peace.

Beautiful Masterpeace

Victoria Robles thought she had it all. She had her dream job in the big city and was working with some of the hottest stars in the world. She also had the attention of a handsome man. Then, one night of passion changed everything. She finds herself in the middle of a scandal with no job or prospects in sight. Deciding to leave the city for a while, she starts a road trip home to her parents. Along the way, she makes a last-minute decision to stop in a small town of Montana and is involved in a car accident with the grumpiest man she has ever met. To avoid the paparazzi, she decides to stay in the town of Peace for a while, and make the most of her time there. She makes friends and even gets a part time job. Unfortunately, Calbert Miller seems determined to run into her around every corner and doesn’t pass up an opportunity for rudeness.
This is a new author for me, and I have fallen in love with her writing. I enjoyed the world building of the small town of Peace, Montana and could actually picture myself walking down their main street. I think I would enjoy stopping in at the B & B or the local music store and possibly even taking voice or bagpipe lessons. The building chemistry between the two main characters alongside their steady banter, draws you in and makes you hang on every word. I enjoyed bits of humor sprinkled throughout the story as well. On a scale of 1-5 stars, I would rate this novella a 5 stars overall. This was a clean romance with the perfect amount of spice. Sloane Mitchell was the narrator for the audio version. She did a wonderful job switching between the male and female MCs. She flowed seamlessly between their dialogue and even voiced an irish accent for one of the side characters.
I would recommend this novella for mature audiences only, high school age and above, due to some of the subject matter described.

Good story, good narration!

First, I actually liked the story. I’m not a big romance fan, but this had all the key elements. It quickly gets you into the story and keeps you asking what’s going to happen next? The narrator was good, and delivered a good performance. Keep it up!
