Having read so many of this authors books, ok so I have read all of them more times then I can count, my one thought to you is? Are Farren ans Sage sisters or just relatives.

The story is amazing

I love this series. Very dissapointed with the narration. The lady is ok but the male voice is terrible. I really hope the rest are better.

Awesome book. Terrible narration.

I’ve not so patiently waited for this series to come out on Audible but the male narrator is NOT right for these characters. He sounds like those old radio soap operas that find everything just SHOCKING. Please stop him. Female narrator is just fine. She might be better than fine but I really can’t think of anything besides him.

Horrible Narration

I love this book series and have been waiting so long for the audio. But the female and male narration is absolute trash. I won't even buy the rest of the series it's that bad. :(

Good story, terrible male narrator

Sadly, I have to say if you are interested, you should just buy the book. The story is nothing new just an empowered girl boss with a tortured past being underestimated by everyone, but I was still happy to listen and see how it unfolded.

Unfortunately the male narrator doesn’t start until the beginning of chapter 3, and it is extremely jarring. After the Female VA did so well I could not believe bad his performance was.

The voice itself is fine, but the inflection and the constant serious and almost exasperated tone he has for the most mundane parts of the story make my ears bleed. His spacing when reading is almost like a William Shatner in impersonation and again everything is said with such drama it takes you out of the story completely.

Honestly, the person who should face the responsibility for this is the publisher. How did you listen to his performance and sign off on them? How did no one tell this guy “you need to calm down! You need to stop reading every sentence like someone’s dying they’re just walking to the cafeteria.” Was there zero review? Did the voice actors just get to submit one take and it was published?
