A year and a half has passed since the fall of Luvanasis. Atticus and Daria have joined Prince Victor in restoring the land, but when a deadly quest has Atticus return home to El-Valr, he and his friends make haste to the Descendant's Chamber. Only to find out the Dark Descendant has released the second darkness -the She Serpent.

Atticus and his companions travel across the land to find the map to the Weapon of Light and find the descendant to wield it: from Idra, home to ancient creatures; to the elves who can sense all; Portacrista, where they meet their past and Sastoo, where love is tested. With the Dark Descendant and newly evolved Arcods on their tail, will Atticus and his companions be able to accomplish their mission? Or will they let the She Serpent enter their minds? Together, Atticus and his friends are the only ones who can keep the light from fading into the darkness.
