When musclebound frat bro Brad gets run off the road by a reckless driver, he thinks it's game over. When he wakes up inside his twin brother's favorite corny shifter romance novel, he realizes the real game is just beginning.

Desperate to get back to a world where he's top dog, Brad finds himself in the crosshairs of Raul, the menacingly hot hero of The Wolf's Mate, who's intent on teaching Brad a whole new meaning to the word alpha.

Not only does Raul insist that Brad is an omega—his omega—but Brad is going to have to come to terms with the fact that he isn't just a part of this fictional world. He's a stand-in for the main character, and the only way out is to make sure he gets to his happily ever after.

Contains mature themes.

So, what an interesting concept. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and hope to continue this story.

Interesting…

This was a surprising joy to read! I wasn’t sure what to expect, as I’m always a little wary of frat bros, but this was such a cute idea that I think the author executed very well. (I’ve also just realized that there’s an entire series of these, continuing the story—and the story—and I love that.) Brad and I may be the same person because we share the exact thought process when consuming any MF media, frankly, and I adore him for that. Raul is slightly less engaging, simply because we don’t get a lot of time or real information about him (mainly, yes, because he’s a fictional character within another fictional character’s work of fiction), but I look forward to reading more of him.

For the audio, Brad’s narrator sometimes read in a more stilted manner that took me out of the moment, but it wasn’t often enough to be annoying, just enough to realize it was happening.

This was more lighthearted than I assumed it would be (for some reason), which was a huge plus, and my guy Brad was too much of a frat bro for me to handle. The author is also funny, which shines through Brad.

Plot: 4/5.

Cute and Funny

This was a relisten for me and I loved the narrators! Still just as fun as the first time I read it.

So fun!

I don't mind books that end on cliffhangers. but I generally like to know before hand so I'm not disappointed. I probably would have waited to purchase until the series was out, but the short length should've been my first clue. I started to read this book a few months ago, got two chapters in, and stopped because it felt dumb. I will admit to enjoying the himbo act much more in the audio version, though. All in all, it's a decent little shifter story in a teeny bite sized format. Cute story, annoying way to release it, but I'll still get book 2 when it comes out on audible.

Ends on a Cliffhanger

I'll start with what I didn't like. I felt like the narration was a little rushed. it seemed like they were speaking very fast. other than that, I really enjoyed the audio. I love this book series so of course I had to listen as well. Brad is such a vibe and so funny!

this book series is my guilty pleasure!
