Buck

"Hey, stranger, this is my street!" the young giant hollered. "You gotta play or pay to use it." Buck eased away from his animals and faced his challenger. Coming from his traps in the mountains to care for his orphaned nieces and nephews, he could not foresee that this town bully would become one of his greatest allies. So would the local school teacher.

But he had enemies, too. And the worst thing about them is that he wasn't sure who they were. Set in and around a small Colorado town that had missed every boom of surrounding communities, the 1882 tale mixes history and fiction, fights, family, and faith.
