An estranged couple must temper their hostilities when their daughter announces that she is pregnant and wants both parents to walk her down the aisle.

Forty-year-old Bess Curran is an interior designer who is still lonely and bitter after a traumatic divorce from Michael six years earlier. She and her husband have nothing left to say to each other, and their children, Lisa and Randy, are their only bond. Lisa, anxious for her parents to reconcile, arranges a surprise dinner meeting where she informs them that she is pregnant and about to marry. The stunned parents must come to grips with the startling news and an unexpected development: the estranged couple may still have lingering feelings for each other.
