Catching Her Heart

I clutch my press credentials like armor as I walk into the Austin Stars stadium. After my career imploded in Chicago, this assignment is my last shot at proving I belong in sports journalism.

Ted Brennan is everything I should avoid. He’s a catcher with gorgeous eyes and a smile that makes me forget why mixing business with pleasure never works. When his overwhelming family adopts me as his girlfriend after one conversation, I should run but I don’t. When he starts sharing team secrets over coffee dates, I should definitely run. Again, I don’t.

Because Ted sees past my professional persona to the woman underneath. He makes me laugh, challenges me to be better, and looks at me like I'm the most fascinating person in the world.

The problem is, my editor wants those secrets Ted's been sharing. And I have to choose between the story that could save my career and the man who's already stolen my heart.
