Jason Clarke fantastic!

This is the fifth in the Sparrow Falls series and once again it was perfection. Ellie has an awful past and is looking for a new start. She moves in next door to the one and only Trace. Oh my, I love the interaction between these two, they will make you smile. And then you factor in Keely, Trace's adorable daughter and it is chef's kiss! Jason Clarke does a fantastic job and I loved listening to him. I enjoyed listening to this audiobook and I would highly recommend it!!

Everything I wanted it to be and more!

First of all the narraration was absolutely perfect. all the stars.

This book was everything I wanted and more! There’s nothing I love more than diving into a new Catherine Cowles book.

I absolutely loved seeing Trace and Ellie’s story unfold. Trace is the grumpy single dad with a soft heart for those he loves, and Ellie, I loved seeing her finally find a sense of safety and freedom in Sparrow Falls. These two had the best kind of emotional, slow-burn romance that makes it difficult to put the book down. Their shared struggles, and watching them open up to each other was incredibly heartwarming.

There were also so many fun, moments from Trace constantly losing his shirts and the goat in the backyard and I can’t forget the lovable Lolli, who as always was completely hilarious. ( Im still rooting for Walter) Keely was absolutely adorable, and her friendship with Ellie was so sweet and genuine. I loved their bond through all stages of this book.

The Colson family, the hilarious group text chats and the overall cozy small-town vibe made this such a great read. I couldn’t have asked for more. And that sneak peek into Kye and Fallon’s story? I just know it’s going to be amazing.

This is a Standalone but I highly recommend reading previous books before this one to get the full love of this family.

Fantastic Romantic Suspense!

Oh my heart, Catherine Cowles continues to rip my heart out and make me melt over the Colsons. Chasing Shelter, book 5 in the Sparrow Falls series is the long- awaited love story of grumpy single dad sheriff Trace Colson. Ellie Pierce is a new-to-town, ebullient, beguiling sweetheart with a shadowed past. Trace’s reluctant attraction is just adorable and the snarky banter between Ellie and Trace is on point. I adore Keeley, her bow obsession spoke to my younger self, and she’s the sweetest! Catherine delivers a wonderfully balanced love story brimming with charm, flirty banter, and nail-biting suspense. I love the frenemies-to-lovers trope; the edge of tension under the evident attraction adds sauciness to their developing chemistry. The hot grumpy sheriff and the bubbly, alluring interior designer were endgame vibes from the start. I loved every second of this small-town romantic suspense. Jason Clarke and Desiree Ketchum were utterly lovely in this audiobook! Their passionate and delightful performances capture the complexity of Catherine’s characters and the warmth of Sparrow Falls perfectly. Jason is downright swoon-worthy as the lovable grump who is haunted by his childhood. Desiree is dazzling as the fierce, charming, independent bombshell who fits right in with the Colson crew. Their side characters and kid voices are fabulous as well. This is a must-listen!

Stunning

This book was amazing! I’m loving this series so much!! I was not expecting that twist at the end and was shook! I loved that Dex finally made an appearance in person and I hope this isn’t the last we see of him! Now onto Fallon & Kye’s story and I cannot wait for it!!!
