When Susan Miller’s parents leave to care for ailing relatives, she is to spend the winter with a kindly widow. Neither Susan nor the widow expect the arrival of the widow’s handsome grandson, Ezra, who suddenly turns up for the holidays.

From the moment they meet, tension runs high. Susan and Ezra are less than thrilled with each other’s company, but when a fierce winter storm forces them to work together on the farm, their mutual dislike begins to thaw. For Susan, unexpected feelings for Ezra begin to surface—feelings she shouldn’t have, especially since Ezra already has a girlfriend.

When a Christmas community project brings Susan, Ezra, and his girlfriend together, an innocent misunderstanding unearths a hidden truth that shatters Ezra’s relationship.

Now, with both of their hearts filled with doubt and uncertainty, Susan and Ezra must confront their feelings. Will they take a chance on a love they never saw coming, or will past hurts and misunderstandings stand in the way of their happiness?
