A retired alien bodyguard. A luscious human female he craves. He’ll do whatever it takes to make her his by Christmas.
Gabriela Romero is a single mother struggling to make ends meet. With Christmas fast approaching, she’s lost work, she’s late on rent, and the zeroes in her bank account are on the wrong side of the decimal point. Fortunately, she has a couple bright spots in her life—her amazing daughter, Ana, and her brief interactions with her gorgeous neighbor from across the street, Mason Lee.
He’s big, strong, kind, and he’s great with Ana. Plus, he looks at Gabriela like he wants to devour her. How could a man like him be real? When he finally asks her out—and an unexpected job comes her way—it seems Gabriela’s luck is finally turning around. Until the universe decides to give her a reality check and disaster strikes.
In Gabriela’s most desperate moments, Mason rushes to the rescue. But her savior isn’t what he seems. He’s a seven-foot-tall alien with horns and glowing violet eyes. Did she run into the arms of an otherworldly demon, or will this unusual being save Christmas—and claim Gabriela’s heart in the process?

In Claimed by the Alien Bodyguard, Tiffany Roberts continues to blend sci-fi romance with emotional depth, delivering a story that feels both intimate and otherworldly. This installment centers on Gabriela Romero, a devoted single mother, and Mason Lee, her mysterious (and not entirely human) neighbor.
Gabriela has built her life around protecting and providing for her young daughter, Ana. Her past hasn’t been easy, she carries the weight of hardship, loss, and the constant need to stay strong for her child. Because of that, she’s cautious when it comes to relationships, unwilling to risk instability or heartbreak. Ana is her entire world, and any potential partner has to fit into that carefully guarded life.
Mason, on the other hand, is an alien living undercover on Earth. Using advanced technology, he disguises his true form, red skin, horns, and pointed ears, allowing him to pass as human. But beneath that disguise is a being shaped by a very different past. Mason comes from a world where danger and duty were constants, and his role before arriving on Earth was tied to protection and survival. Now living among humans, he is largely alone, separated from his kind and carrying a quiet loneliness that defines much of his existence. His life is one of observation and restraint… until Gabriela and Ana become the center of his world.
From the moment he moves in nearby, Mason is drawn to Gabriela. However, his hesitation to approach her isn’t just shyness, it’s fear. Fear of rejection, fear of exposing what he truly is, and fear that his presence could bring danger into her life. When he finally gathers the courage to ask her out, it marks the beginning of a relationship that is both tender and high-stakes.
One of the biggest strengths of this story is how grounded the romance feels despite its sci-fi premise. Gabriela’s protectiveness over Ana adds emotional weight, and Mason’s instinct to guard them both gives the story a natural tension. Their connection builds with a mix of vulnerability and quiet longing, making their eventual bond feel earned and deeply satisfying.
A highlight of the book is Mason’s internal struggle, balancing his alien instincts with the desire to fit into Gabriela’s human world. His protective nature never feels overbearing; instead, it’s rooted in genuine care and respect. Gabriela, too, is a strong and realistic heroine. She doesn’t fall easily, and her trust must be built piece by piece, which adds authenticity to their relationship.
That said, the pacing may feel a bit uneven at times. Some moments of tension resolve quickly, while others linger longer than necessary. Readers looking for more action-heavy sci-fi elements might find the focus leans more heavily toward romance and emotional development. However, for fans of character-driven stories, this is more of a strength than a drawback.
Narration by Zachary Zaba adds another layer of enjoyment to the experience. Zachary has a smooth, engaging voice that fits Mason particularly well, capturing both his strength and his underlying vulnerability. His ability to transition between male and female voices is impressive, making conversations easy to follow without ever feeling forced. He brings a warmth to Gabriela’s character and a subtle emotional depth to Mason that enhances the listening experience.
Overall, Claimed by the Alien Bodyguard is a heartfelt blend of sci-fi and romance, anchored by strong characters and a touching exploration of love, trust, and belonging. It’s a story about finding connection in unexpected places, and about choosing love, even when it feels risky.
Final Verdict:
A tender, character-driven alien romance with a protective hero, a resilient heroine, and a narration performance that brings it all together beautifully. Perfect for listeners who enjoy emotional depth alongside their extraterrestrial love stories.
