Embattled FBI Agent Elsa Bauer has a theory to find the Preacher Killer, but her superiors refuse to take it seriously. She enlists the help of disgraced mega-church pastor Reverend Henry Whitehouse. Whitehouse insists that the Preacher Killings are the work of demons, and Bauer, an atheist, will only go so far as to agree that the killer believes in demons. Their ‘partnership’ is tense, and at times combative, but they must set aside their differences to save the life of an innocent man on death row who is scheduled to be executed in less than a week.
