Sleuthing at the turn of the century

You cannot help loving and rooting for Cleo, her band of friends at the hotel, and the detective/love interest as they work through the tangle of clues to solve the mystery. Cleo is caught between the expectations of her family’s social class ( especially finding a husband) and her desires for freedom to pursue her interests and choose her own friends.

Surprisingly enjoyable!

Such delightful stories! The chemistry between Harry and Cleo makes me giddy like a school girl. Wish this would be turned to a made for tv mini series.

Cozy and intriguing

The perfect cozy mystery. I enjoyed speculating right along side the clever Ms. Fox at every twist and turn of the case. With strong supporting characters and a familiar setting it’s easy to get swept up and carried away. I look forward to reading more from this series.

Why is there no female Sherlock?

Marion Hussey is a star. I'm so impressed by her versatility and vocal command.
The stories are another thing.
They are mediocre
I didn't find any interesting, complex plots nor did I understand many of the actions taken by Cleo Fox.
She champions herself as an independent and competent female detective. yet, once again, for whatever reason, she HAD to find her success thru her handsome, strong, macho, perfect etc. man.
Are there any women detectives who can actually get thru a story without finding her handsome strong, macho man to complete the action?
Just once, can a woman do anything without having a man front and center. You know solving the crime herself and actually not having to bring in men to succeed?
Cleopatra Fox is Not her.
I'll keep looking but for some reason, the female sleuths must have a man.
it's embarrassing to read.

Cleopatria Fox Mysteries books 1-3

I enjoyed the lightheartedness of the books. They are fun stories. I enjoyed listening to them.
