engaging, excellent story and narrator

My kids (ages 7, 8 and 10) and I have been working through Ralph Moody's Little Britches series, and I saw this title by the same author so we decided to try it. The story is interesting and well told and we enjoyed the narrator too. Highly recommend.

The best horse race story ever

This is a story of a horse that had nothing and then became everything. There is nothing I dislike about this book it is by far the best story of a horse I have ever listens to or read.

I love Seabiscut Even though he was around before I was born.

I always like reading about horses . This fellow had a lot of the history wrong. I study this stuff and he missed the boat on many points. I still listened and was glad to know as much as I could about a great horse.

A MUST read/listen!!!

My son had to read this book for school. As a college professor of pre-service and current teachers, I try and read what he brings home. This book is stunning. It’s not only a Cinderella story but an Ugly Duckling one. You will find yourself an emotional captive with each step of Seabiscuit’s journey. For teachers, there are incredible threads here and connections to be made with bullying, abuse, activism, and fairytale endings.
