Yilli, a Pinnet memstrife, a holder of memories for her people, is called to the Spann world-altar, where she discovers that the Unity’s reality is already in the process of being rewritten by the events taking place on Alisim. Yilli’s changing memories frame the story of Amli, a human, and Jenna, her Pinnet lover, who live on Amber, a moon-sized organism trapped in Unity space as they seek Amber’s memories from her life in the greater universe outside the Unity, memories that may be the key to changing everything.
