Elizabeth Bennet’s brother has always been spoilt and indolent, but Mr. Bingley’s arrival in the neighbourhood sends the younger man reeling. Thomas now seems intent on ruining his sisters’ hopes of marriage and happiness out of pure spite.

Lizzy realises it is foolish to allow Fitzwilliam Darcy to dominate her thoughts. With her family’s good name in ruins, she knows she does not stand a chance with a man like him. But what is she to do? A chance encounter showed her a side of him no-one else has seen. She has tried and tried, but she can think of little else but him.
