Upon accepting the mission, Kerri is thrown into a parallel universe. She has less than three weeks to find Jonas, retrieve an absurdly valuable artifact, and somehow return to Earth. She has only 48 hours to assemble a team and begin her quest.

With each challenge and revelation, Kerri grapples with her identity and summons greater and greater courage. She learns where Jonas is—but not why he left her. She is warned that finding Jonas could destroy her. Unfortunately, by the time she hears the warning, it is far too late to turn back.
