Blakely Monroe arrives at Beacon Point Lighthouse before sunrise with her grandmother’s muffins, craving a quiet start to a packed weekend at the Oceanspray Bed & Breakfast. Instead, her dog Scout drags her down the cliff path to a corpse arranged a little too perfectly.

As gossip churns and suspicion spreads, Blakely teams up with farmer Bobby Zion, whose steady instincts and bond with Scout reveal what the scene—and the people—are trying to hide.

Planted clues, missing keys, and a sharp, out-of-place smell prove the fall was staged. When the killer starts steering blame toward Blakely herself, solving the puzzle becomes personal.
