A true listening experience!

Hearing a version of a book on audio that sounds like the version in my head when I first read it doesn’t happen every time. But it most DEFINITELY happened with Downpour! I already loved this story but hearing it come to life through my speakers was a truly great experience. I’d love to see this series picked up as a movie but especially this book.

I’ve read this book before, but since it came out on Audible I had to listen to it! The narrators did an amazing job capturing the emotions of the characters.

Grumpy/Sunshine romance. Ray is as stubborn as a mule.. or in his case, a bull rider. Brooke just wants to make it in life, and she’s been given some hard times. Ray is a Griffith brother that gets paralyzed after getting thrown from a bull, Brooke is a home health aide that has her work cut out for her. Ray might have been tough enough to handle bulls, but Brooke is tough enough to handle Ray. The spice and chemistry between these two is amazing!! Brooke is a closet spitfire that proves she can ride a mechanical bull.. and a retired bull rider 😉

This book is pure grumpy sunshine from the very start. Brooke is a literal bubbly ray of sunshine, while Ray is recovering from what would be considered the worst accident of his life.

I loved how the author doesn’t make us wait to feel the connection between the characters. It makes everything feel more real and makes it so easy to settle into the story.
The Griffith brothers just keep getting better and better, and Ray might be one of my favorites yet.
