Hugh Carverson seeks to better the lot of his people in Lowercity by striking a bargain with Midcity. But first, he must retrieve Dragon Relics from the Heartforge, an ever-shifting labyrinth filled with monstrous Guardians and laden with precious treasures.

But he also has to contend with the machinations of those in Midcity and Uppercity who don’t welcome any changes to the Three Cities.

Fortunately, Hugh is also an Aspirant, a mage capable of wielding powerful draconic abilities. If he can master his magic, forge a deadly Crew of companions, and arm them with increasingly better Gear, while also navigating the affections of three beautiful and formidable women, he might very well succeed—not just in establishing a new world order, but also ascending to divinity himself.
