ESCAPE TO SURVIVE

A most unlikely team: a cop, two thugs, and a blind woman band together to find refuge when the US power grid abruptly fails.
Lili has no option except to resign when the city mandates double shifts for its dwindling number of police officers as the violence from the large cities reaches smaller towns. Her aunt and uncle want Lili and her young son to leave town with them and her uncle’s friend, who is convinced plans are in place to destroy the US electrical grid.
Lili is a target for extortion because she is a police officer; her uncle’s friend is targeted to die because he knows too much. There is at best a tenuous level of trust between them.
They can leave town, but can they forget their differences quickly enough to survive the dangers ahead?
