A well performed well told captivating story

This is top shelf storytelling - imaginative compelling and gripping. The best first contact story I’ve bought.

My biggest gripe is with a bunch of characters that are veterans not considering site security a #1 priority BEFORE blasting everything over the airwaves.

Classic brainy hard sci fi

At least the female characters also serve in the military and politics and don’t just serve as love interests for the main character, but otherwise they don’t pass the Bechdel test.
