Set against the backdrop of Oakland streets, broken homes, and relentless cycles of generational trauma, this audiobook follows a young Black woman navigating life while carrying wounds no child should have to bear.

From abandonment and family dysfunction to bullying, loss, and early motherhood, she learns how quickly innocence can be stolen and how strength is often born in silence. As relationships crumble, trust is tested, and survival becomes second nature, she is forced to confront the painful truth: sometimes love doesn't look like love, and sometimes survival requires walking away from everything familiar.
