Fall From the Bell Tower

A new dressmaker takes the town of Asterton by storm. Mrs Fotheringay seems to be the perfect addition to the peaceful town.

But when Lady Silverbirch dies after an inexplicable fall from the bell tower of Asterton Church, Miss Penny's primary suspect is the well-respected dressmaker. Before long, Miss Penny uncovers evidence of a sordid past.

To prove that the dressmaker is the culprit, the schoolmistress of Asterton relies upon Lady Caroline, an 18th-century ghost; her cunning cat, Onyx; and her faithful dog, Toby, as they combine forces to prove that Lady Silverbirch's death was no accident.
