A Real Surprise

There were enough twists and turns to hold my interest. It was a really nice beginning to a new series.

Poe Baxter is 47 y/o, chose to escape a professorship, and took a position with her uncle as a specialty book finder along with her best friend. The first book is a magic book that involves Scottish sea monsters and has a curse about it but they must go to Scotland. But soon the seller gets murdered and the Scottish police inspector involves them in the investigations. And so the sleuthing begins!
Aven Shore is an excellent voice actor whose interpretation adds great things to the story.
