Feral Cat Rebellion

Emi Sato has always felt like a feral, stray cat that no one has wanted. She slips through the cracks but then, she lives in a cracked and broken world under the rules of a broken Department of Child and Family Services. Whether she is Deaf or not, she feels ignored, betrayed, unwanted, and definitely misunderstood. She has been left to believe that nothing matters anymore in her life. No one cares about her so why should she care about anyone or anything?

Along comes Kira Pagano and Jess Carbonneau, two girls of East River High School's gymnastics team with a plan to help this feral cat and her rebellion get off the ground and soaring. Through friendship, gymnastics, and a little rebellion, Emi begins to see that there are people willing to care about her and dreams are still something to fight for.
