The “talking dog“ is as annoying a contrivance as the “talking Mr. Coffee“ in the Country Club Murders series. No, the dog is worse, because of the irritatingly high-pitched yap the narrator spits out before the dog’s dialogue. Without that, this book could have been four stars. It’s not bad, it’s not great, but it is entertaining enough for an Audible credit.

Would be good if it wasn’t so annoying.
