From Tree to Tree is a gentle, story-rich Easter devotional that invites children to discover why the cross matters — not as a symbol of sadness, but as the place where new life began.

Through simple reflections, visual storytelling, and age-appropriate biblical insight, this devotional traces God's redemptive story from the first tree in the garden to the tree of the cross, helping children understand Easter in a way that feels clear, meaningful, and full of hope.

Each section guides young listeners to:

  • explore the heart of Easter through Scripture
  • reflect on Jesus' love in a calm, thoughtful way
  • see the cross not as an ending, but as a doorway to new life

Written with warmth and clarity, From Tree to Tree is designed for families, classrooms, and individual listening moments. It encourages conversation, reflection, and gentle faith formation without rushing or overwhelming young hearts.

This devotional is ideal for:

  • children ages 6–12
  • family Easter devotion time
  • homeschool or Sunday school use
  • parents who want a Christ-centered Easter focus

Rather than focusing on noise or activity, this book creates space — space to think, to wonder, and to recognize the love that carried Jesus from the garden to the cross, and beyond.

From Tree to Tree helps children see Easter not only as something that happened long ago, but as a story that still invites them in today.

This is a Christ-Centered Devotional to spark Hopeful Easter Reflections for Great Family Talks
From Tree to Tree approaches Easter in a calm, story-rich way that feels genuinely child-friendly (6-12ish). Instead of making the cross feel only sad or scary, it helps children understand why it matters—how it connects to hope, love, and new life. The “tree to tree” thread (from the garden to the cross) is a simple idea, but it’s a powerful way to help kids see the bigger story without getting lost in complicated theology.

What stood out to me is the tone: warm, gentle, and unhurried. The reflections are short enough for kids to stay with, but meaningful enough to spark questions and real conversation. It guides children through scripture and invites them to think about Jesus’ love in a way that feels clear and reassuring, framing the cross as a doorway to new life rather than an ending.

I can see this working really well for family devotional time in the lead-up to Easter, and it would also fit nicely in a classroom, Sunday school, or homeschool setting. It doesn’t rely on loud activities—it creates space to reflect, wonder, and connect. Overall, it’s a thoughtful, Christ-centered Easter devotional that helps children feel included in the story, not just told about it.

I listened to this book first and am now going to share it with my nieces' kids who are 8 & 10. With Easter coming up there is obviously lots of chocolate and candies in all the stores. Easter isn't just about Chocolate. The book did an excellent job of explaining the Easter Story and explained it as a story of hope, not sadness. I am going to read this with the girls and go through the daily devotionals so we can pace ourselves and not overwhelm them. This book is a way for a family to make Easter more meaningful.

Reading this with my kids became a really meaningful part of our evenings. The short devotionals are easy for children to understand and open the door for great conversations about faith, hope, and new life. I like that each section is simple enough for younger kids but still thoughtful. My children stayed engaged and even asked questions along the way. It helped us slow down and focus on the real meaning of Easter together as a family.

I listened to this with family devotional time in mind, and what stood out right away was how calm and thoughtful it feels. The reviews are right it helps kids understand Easter in a way that is clear, hopeful, and not overwhelming. I liked that the short sections were easy for children to follow but still deep enough to spark real questions and good conversations. The garden-to-cross thread was especially strong because it helped connect the bigger story without making it confusing. It feels warm, unhurried, and centered on helping kids see Jesus’ love in a way they can really grasp. I could easily see families, homeschoolers, or Sunday school groups using this well. It’s the kind of listen that helps everyone slow down and focus on what Easter actually means, not just the busy parts around it.
