When I stormed out of the airport after throwing a temper tantrum, I never expected to cross paths with him again. All I wanted to do was put the night behind me and enjoy a martini. The last thing I expected was for him to waltz into the bar and offer me a night I couldn't refuse.

I had every opportunity to tell him who I was. Instead, I lied and followed my heart—okay, that was a lie too. It was pure lust and maybe a little revenge that had me following him.

Now, we're flying back and forth between Atlanta and New York. And the more time we spend together, the harder I fall. Until news of our relationship gets blasted all over the internet. I guess it's true what they say, you can't believe everything you read online, or can you?

Now I'm wondering if I should have left my heart on the sidelines where it belonged instead of trusting him, especially since the news of our relationship isn't the only thing about to be exposed.

Kinley & Maverick

This was a great best friends sibling read. It had me captivated from page one. I felt all of Kinley & Maverick’s emotions; the happiness, the heartache, the fear and excitement, and the longing for each other. Definitely a must read.
Lu Banks & Tyler Donne do an amazing job portraying the characters, bringing them to life and humanizing them with their emotions, attitude and personality. They do more than giving their characters their voices, they fall into the roles and become the character.

Boring

The book was both too long and too short all at once. There was entirely to much time spent on the boring mundane aspects of the relationship. The book was set up for some high angst but fell completely flat. If you came for OW drama don't bother. It was not fully flushed out and was glazed over. The angst was not built up. Several moments came off cringy. I finished the book but mostly background noise. I can't really complain about either narrator. I don't feel like they had a lot to work with. The cadence just wasn't there for me. I wasn't kept interested in the story and a lot of that had to do with the story itself.
