Strange World, Book 1

A teenager is diagnosed as terminally ill and given only seven days to live. As he goes to sleep, he travels to a fantasy world where magic, the strange, and absurdity reign. There's a legend in Strange World, one of an artifact that can grant a single wish. Taking on the persona of "Magna", the teen goes on a journey to find the artifact. But there's another legend: To make the wish, you must make a great and terrible sacrifice.

Something worth reading

This is for sure the beginning strides of a great author. Alice in Wonderland set for the modern era complete with nerdy references.
Great humor and story telling that really captures what's it's like being a stranger in a Strange World in this case.
Fun characters with a world where legitimately anything can happen sets a tone of wonder and awe. Kept me coming back for more.
Also, has some very heart warming moments that tugged at my old grizzly heart.
A great story by a great author that I'm excited to read more of. Highly Recommend for those looking for something truly unique and will... Strange.
