This hit the spot for me.

A very sweet historical romance. Clara is a young woman, mistreated by the English prince George, and her mother, who runs off to the Highlands to be a housekeeper of a castle. The Laird of the castle, Caelan, meets Clara and right away is smitten. A friendship develops, and then a forced marriage. These two find each other in love and in trust. This really is a sweet story. I needed to read a historical romance, after reading a series of dark books, and this was a perfect fit to wipe away the darkness. Excellent narration, too.
