I was the perfect wife, my only fault that I loved dogs. My husband tolerated them as long as I kept the house spotless. I tolerated his abuse until he turned his eyes on my dogs, and then I got out.

Now I'm in Maine, hoping to start over and rebuild. Trouble is, the house I trusted my realtor to buy for me seems to have a problem. It's huge and full of green goo, and the paranormal investigators won't stop knocking.

On top of that my new boss is determined to hook me up with someone, but she has terrible taste in men. The only one of them I've even sort of liked is her cousin, Ian, and he doesn't appear to like my dogs. It doesn't help that every time Creek gets near him, the mischievous dog steals Ian's wallet.

Still, the ghosts are better than my ex. Even when they do turn the house upside down on occasion.

Then my ex gets wind of the inevitable rumor of treasure. This time, he's not going to take a restraining order seriously.

I'll do anything to protect my new life, including teaming up with the ghosts. But will it be enough?

I loved every minute of this book. The author (and narrators) do an amazing job of keeping you interested and wanting to know more. Make sure to check the triggers!
