Hemingway

The first day at Hemingway High is going pretty normal, like the first day of school is going all across the rest of Michigan, like all across the country—that is until third period when Rosalind Howard—a senior—cuts class, walks out to the football field, and blows her brains out on the 50-yard line. And from that tragically surreal first day, a many-headed drama unfurls that will have the student body of Hemingway fighting for its very soul.

Kaleidoscopic, genre-bending, part epic crime saga/part fantasy, always harrowing, and wholly absorbing, Hemingway questions the American society's tortured compliance to a system that produces seemingly never-ending acts of mass violence and why we keep conjuring the dark souls that commit them. But Hemingway also dares to hope that there will always be those among us willing to strive, to seek, to love, to sacrifice, and to rise, even in the eye of the most violent of tempests.
