To save a client accused of murder, defense attorney Keera Duggan must fight a complex web of corruption in a riveting novel of suspense by New York Times bestselling author Robert Dugoni.

In a quiet South Seattle neighborhood, a suspected drug smuggler and his girlfriend are murdered in their home. When a young man named Michael Westbrook is accused of the brutal double homicide, his uncle JP Harrison turns to Keera Duggan to defend him. JP is Keera’s trusted investigator, and he desperately needs Keera to save his nephew against escalating odds.

The evidence is circumstantial—Michael worked with one of the victims, drugs were found in his possession, and he bolted from authorities. Ruthless star prosecutor Anh Tran has gotten convictions on much less. With the testimony of two prison informants, the case looks grave. But Keera never concedes defeat. To free her client, she must dig deep before Tran crushes both of them.

As the investigation gets more twisted with each new find, Keera is swept up in a mystery with far-reaching consequences. This case isn’t just murder. It’s looking like a conspiracy. And getting justice for Michael could be the most dangerous promise Keera has ever made.

Reseñas de la Crítica

“Robert Dugoni’s series featuring Keera Duggan is the best this side of Michael Connelly’s Lincoln Lawyer when it comes to legal thrillers…Dugoni has never been better. I wasn’t the only one to celebrate his return to the legal thriller genre, and Her Cold Justice gives us even more reason to cheer him. He is every bit the equal of John Grisham and Scott Turow at their best.”—Jon Land, BookTrib

“[Dugoni’s] latest, and keenest, Keera Duggan novel…[is] a high-stakes courtroom drama that feels uncomfortably timely.”—Jordan Snowden, Seattle Times

“Dugoni is a master of stories that tackle injustice, and this latest Keera Duggan thriller verifies he’s one of the best storytellers as well. He should be considered in the same breath as Michael Connelly when it comes to writing about life in law enforcement and the courtroom. Don’t miss this one.”—Jeff Ayers, firstCLUE

I can't even begin to tell you how much I LOVE Robert Dugoni and his novels.

I loved this book and am so excited that there are more books coming in the Keera Duggan series.

Robert Dugoni write THE BEST Court room scenes, and keeps you guessing until the end about how things will play out.

The twists and turns were unexpected but not unappreciated.

Read this book. It's marvelous.

Robert Dugoni has a great mind, I do enjoy the intricacies of his stories. I also enjoy the relationships of the characters, it’s a great read!

So good

Dugoni finally pulled all the elements of a good book together in this third installment of the Keera Duggan series. My only question is whether we will see Ann Tron appear in subsequent novels. Hope so. She's a good foil for Keera. I was impressed with Dugoni finally getting the message that Keera's dad was not required to call her "kiddo" in just about every other sentence. I also wish authors would stick to the original and best meaning for "notoriety," which essentially means that someone is well known for his or her infamy. In the last couple of decades it's trying to sneak into the vernacular as a synonym for famous in a positive way. "Aggravate" went from meaning to "make worse," to meaning to "annoy." "Could care less" went from meaning "some caring" to meaning you "couldn't care less." Let's save "notoriety," and lets have Maarleveld refrain from occasional whispering.

Liked the story moved at an understanding pace. People cared enough about clients and seeking justice.

Always seeking truth.

This book continues to deliver by weaving empathy, excitement, resilience, from beginning to end. Hard to put down!
No characters were diminished. Gave some hope in humanity:)
