Annie had Callum when she was fifteen. Five years later, Dom is a handsome man who is a smooth talking older man and he needs Annie. He sweeps Annie away from everything and everyone she knows to lead a life that she isn’t prepared for.
Skipping forward several more years, Callum is arrested and his aunt is trying to piece the puzzle together. Dramatic and twisted but vey slow to start. Overall a good book.

Good book, except...

I got a bit bored in the first half of the book. A bit too drawn out and Annie too annoyingly submissive. I have known women in bad situations and know it's hard to understand the reasons for staying with bad men. I got much more interested in the second half and enjoyed the book.

As I read/listen to "thrillers", I try to figure out how it will end even though I love it when I'm not able to figure it out. This author certainly did nothing to give away the ending!

Uncovering the truth in ‘Her Sister's Secret’

What took me so long to dive into this gem? “... animal cruelty jokes” was mentioned in two Audible reviews, hence my hesitation. Lies! I had been looking at Lynes’ “Her Sister’s Secret” for a long time. It turns out there was no truth to those misleading reviews. Shame on them! I’ll be more aware of what I read in the future.
S.E. Lynes and narrator Tamsin Kennard's collaboration is pure magic. “Her Sister's Secret” is a suspenseful murder mystery packed with riveting surprises, twists and engaging subplots that kept me hooked till the end. Kennard's narration brings the story to life, making it a compelling listen. The story follows Isla struggling with the sudden tragedy that hits their seemingly perfect family. Her sister, Annie, and her husband Dom appeared to have it all – a lovely cottage, a beautiful family and a loving relationship. But as the night unfolds, dark secrets start to surface, and the facade crumbles. With its twisty narrative and relatable characters, this audiobook’s the perfect vibe for fans of psychological thrillers. The ending was shockingly jaw-dropping, never anticipated – Wham-Bam, WTH, Ma’am! Highly recommended and for the price of $3 during Audible’s sale, I was ecstatic. Thank you to Audible and a proper British curtsy to the exquisite team of Lynes and Kennard. Don’t miss this! You can thank me later.
