Tamara Samair and the crew of the freighter Grania Estelle have been working their way through the Argos Cluster to try and make a living by selling and trading goods through the various star systems, all the while evading raiders and a relentless Republic warship. Their ship now overrun by the forces of a ruthless pirate lord, the future looks grim. But the captain of the ship, his crew and the indomitable engineer refuse to lay down and die.
