What an incredible, life affirming memoir.

I highly recommend this book. A must read for those whose lives have not been cookie cutter

Wonderfully charming

I loved this read. It’s a great book that takes you around the world but most importantly to a NYC of yesteryear. I can’t sing Richard E Grants’ praises enough, his narration is phenomenal. Highly recommend.

You won’t regret reading it

Exactly as expected. Do read. Enjoyable, not exceptional, but not intended to be. As authentic a voice as the man himself.

Filled with realness, the highs and lows

As a New Yorker, it was exciting to get some background on some of the classic New York establishments that make nyc, nyc. Still this story is less about ny and more about the ups and downs of what is life. Nothing is a straight path and no one is perfect. McNally shows how in navigating through some of the lows of life, you are left with the tools to really appreciate the highs. This book is authentic yet poetic, and will leave you craving a Balthazar burger (and I’m a vegetarian).

The book was magnificently well structured and written in way that you could feel the anxiety inducing duality of life lived inside one’s own body
