There comes a time in some investigations where a cop should do the smart thing and cut his losses. The problem Detectives Bat Poe and Fran Gomez have is that they’re many miles beyond that point, and never noticed when it passed. They’re stuck chasing a gang of drug dealers they’ve been after for years and have finally pushed things to the point where failure might cost them their careers and lives.
