Just a Train Ride Away

Santosh travels alone from Mumbai, where he lives with his mother, to Kolkata, on holiday. He has a secret agenda, though - to look for his father, whom he barely remembers. On the train and in Kolkata, he meets people who exist outside the sheltered world he has been brought up in. This coming-of-age novel follows this young boy who, in his longing to have both parents in his life, learns much about estrangement and belonging.
