When washed-up ‘80s rock star Rex “The Rocket” Rockwell collapses mid-power ballad on the Elysium Dream, the crowd thinks it’s part of the act. But cruise director Barty Butterfield knows the difference between a dramatic finale and a dead body.

The karaoke screen didn’t just display lyrics; it broadcast a chilling accusation of theft and a prophecy of Rex’s demise. As a diamond flamingo brooch appears where it shouldn’t and the ship’s systems begin to show signs of a sinister override, Barty is forced to trade his clipboard for a magnifying glass.

With the help of an earnest security officer, a caffeine-addicted IT genius, and a scarlet macaw named Captain Squawk—who has a habit of repeating the most incriminating phrases at the worst possible moments—Barty must navigate a sea of bitter rivals, obsessed fans, and corporate cover-ups. On the Elysium Dream, the show must go on, but someone is planning a deadly encore. And this time, they’re watching who reaches for the switch.
