Karate vs. Taekwondo

Highschool Fight

Spencer is a trained karate practitioner, but he is bullied by the popular taekwondo group in high school. He gets attacked by the taekwondo group, and he immediately uses his karate to defend himself. A one-on-one fight gets set, and Spencer must fight the school taekwondo bully, Danny. Spencer can’t back down from the fight because his dream girl crush will be there.

This fictional short-story book contains scenes of violence, cussing, and graphic scenes that may be objectionable to some. This is a short listen.

A Middle School White-Belt's Daydream

This is the exact kind of scenario a kid dreams up after watching "Karate Kid" ONCE then after taking a few lessons, someone tells them they'd rather practice TaeKwonDo instead.

The story is silly, but I'm surprised how straight it's played. In a world of subversive stories with twists, the fact that the story played out in triumph was unexpected. I thought "Surely, the narrator is about to wake up, the alarm will buzz any second now."

I don't know how much training Roxy Lee has but the narator's hushed yelling increased the "Middle School Vibe"... (Because Middle Schoolers can only imagine what High School is like.)

No joke, I was scrolling through audible and joked to myself "What if there was a Karate vs. Taekwondo story?" LO AND BEHOLD!

But yeah... A charming little Karate power-fantasy.

I'm curious what other stories might come next.
