Canadian father and son, Jim and Jack, travel to Scotland to explore their ancestral line. At St Bride’s Church linked to their forebears and the legendary Sir James Douglas, a violent tremor and flash of light hurl them back to 1329.Stranded in medieval Scotland, they’re taken in by Ailith, a gifted druid whose visions of the Sky Spirits hint at forces beyond her century. As Jim and Ailith grow close, and Jack finds a second home in her care, the three form a bond that transcends time.

But history is racing toward a fixed point: the final campaign of Sir James Douglas. Jim and Jack know the fate that awaits him. Ailith believes destiny can be reshaped. And the truth may lie somewhere between prophecy, love, and the strange science that brought them here.
