THE STORY

Supreme Grand Master Azrael summons Lazarus and his Fifth Company to honour an old debt on the Knight world of Reis – a planet upon which the warp has set its hungry gaze.

But Lazarus is not so sure Reis wants to be saved – its Knights are long lost, its governance is dogged by political strife, and internecine conflict hampers the world’s defence against an ancient evil. ­An evil which, like Lazarus himself, refuses to die.

Fantastic

This is an insight into the dark angels that has been missing for a long time. There’s also an insight into the Knights that has never been seen before that made me love them more than I already do. Truly a fantastic story.

Solid freshie

I appreciate the “standing on the shoulders of giants” feel you get with the wyrdbook and her interactions with Dark Angels. The dialogue was delivered in a sort of “fantasy” feel IMHO. Doesn’t effect value of book for me. Maybe others but I can’t speak for them. Lots of engaging and likeable characters, even the Primaris! I love all the new stories in motion. I think this the first for me by the author. Good job. I won’t shy away from any future stuff by you. Be well and keep scribing

Lazarus Review

I thought Lazarus was a compelling character. I wish they did more with the secrets.

Simple and Enjoyable

It is a good action story. The story felt it dragged in places, particularly the final battle. The combat was well written, but there was a lot of it. All the characters were likable and it was narrated well. The book was at its best with the character interactions.

Great to get a better look into Lazarus

Great narrator. Story was short, but very engaging. For the First! For The Lion! For The Emperor!
