Lovely performance, good worldbuilding, story a bit corny at times

I really liked the voice acting performance. I liked the worldbuilding, especially the inclusivity if you are a trans reader, which I am, so it was a very nice read in that respect.

The part that was corny was just the “heist montage” vibes. Some emotional battles were too quickly and easily won, so they didn’t have the impact you’d expect for some moments.

Would make a good anime!

Amazing book and narrator!!

This is my second read through and I loved every minute of it. Usually I speed up audiobooks, but the narration is just too good on this one for that! Can’t wait to read 2. ❤️

Phenomenal storytelling

This story is absolutely fantastic. Vanya is a wonderful narrator, her supporting cast the perfect companions. The tale twists and turns, never letting you see what’s coming and turning fairy tale tropes on their heads. The narrator does a great job bringing the story to live.
