New York Times best-selling author Diana Gabaldon, beloved for her immensely popular Outlander series, crafted this fast-paced tale of intrigue when asked to contribute to an anthology honoring the late, great Ellis Peters. A short story, I know, but of all the Gabaldon books so far, this is my least favorite. Story ok, not great.

Except the story was way too short and disjointed. The whole time you're trying to figure out what was before. A bit disappointed.

A historical short story, beautifully written and read. This is an interesting footnote for an important character, Lord John, in Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series. A biting class commentary.

The Outlander series has captured my attention like no other. It is intriguing, engaging, and well written. It is so easy to let go and see characters play out their stories in my mind. Jeff Woodman is the perfect narrator for this rich tapestry. His insightful interpretations of the characters leads to an immersive listening experience.
