As they undertake their journey, Zhe's powers grow towards becoming a mighty Threefold Bone Mage. But to achieve this great power, he must fulfil a set of mysterious tasks including liberating at least one key city and defeating Queen Diarmuid.

But first the mages must win an alliance with the sly King Najashi, who has their families hostage and held them in exile for sixteen years.
